Nurse Supervisor Residential and Bedside

Location: Springfield, MA (supporting programs in the Springfield/Wilbraham area)
Salary Range: $89,440 - $97,760 (See Details Below)
Position Description:
The Nurse Supervisor Residential and Bedside provides leadership, administrative oversight, and clinical support to nursing staff in medical-intensive residential programs. This role ensures high-quality care for residents with developmental disabilities by overseeing nursing practices, coordinating medical services, and maintaining compliance with policies and procedures. The Nurse Supervisor Residential and Bedside collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to enhance the quality of care while providing direct supervision and support to nursing staff.
General Responsibilities:
- Administrative Oversight & Leadership
- Assist Medical Model nursing staff with all duties as needed
- Foster and promote a positive environment in the homes
- Provide guidance on medical-related concerns and advise on courses of action
- Assist with routine paperwork and reports including MAP audits, and appointment documentation in EMR
- Support medical appointments when only one nurse is on duty, covering the floor when necessary
- Direct Patient Care & Clinical Responsibilities
- Provide skilled nursing care, including medication administration, wound care, respiratory management, etc.
- Conduct assessments of residents’ physical and mental health and document changes.
- Implement and oversee individualized treatment plans.
- Administer medications safely and ensure compliance with MAP guidelines.
- Monthly Responsibilities
- Ensure nursing staff print medication/treatment sheets monthly.
- Ensure nursing performs the first check of medication sheets against physician orders and hands them to another nursing staff for second verification.
- Ensure overnight staff are filing the previous month's medication sheets after verifying signatures and initials in the MAR book in section 11 of MAR binder.
- Ensure overnight staff generate and print Healthcare Provider (HCP) Encounter Forms and current medication lists bi-weekly.
- Update guardians on medical appointments and tests scheduled for the upcoming month with the Program Director.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all organizational and client information and adheres to all applicable federal and state regulations in the performance of job duties.
Qualifications:
- Hold and maintain an active, unrestricted LPN or RN license in Massachusetts.
- Experience with adults with developmental disabilities preferred.
- Ability to pass comprehensive background checks (CORI/SORI/OIG/DPPC/Fingerprint)
- CPR & First Aid certification required (or willingness to obtain prior to or upon hire)
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
- Proficiency in medical procedures such as tracheostomy care, ventilator management, and medication administration.
- Have and maintain a valid Driver's License for a minimum of 6 months with an acceptable driving record.
Salary Details:
Starting range:
89,440 annual salary (43/hour) - 97,760 annual salary (47/hr)
Position requires min 5 years' applicable bedside management experience
LPN range rate of pay 43-44 per hour
- 5+ years – 43/hour
- 10+ years - additional $1/hour
RN range rate of pay 46-47 per hour
- 5+ years – 46/hour
- 10+ years - additional $1/hour
