CNA/Trainer
Location: West Springfield, MA
Full-Time
Pay Range: $18-20/hour
Position Description:
Assist Nurse Educator with “hands-on” training in the ServiceNet Staff Development Center. The CNA/Trainer will guide direct care staff in the skills needed to care for the individuals in our Residential Programs safely and effectively, with confidence and competence. All trainings will be focused on meeting the needs of our individuals while fostering independence and maintaining dignity. The CNA/Trainer will also be involved with continuing education within the department.
Key Responsibilities:
- 1. Assist Nurse Educator and Informatics Specialist in the training of all residential direct care staff in:
- Direct Care with Dignity
- ADL Care
- Vital Signs
- Safe Transfers
- Mouth Care
- Nail Care
- Diabetic foot care
- ROM exercises
- Ambulation
- Applying Compression Stockings
- Positioning
- Maintains strict confidentiality of all organizational and client information and adheres to all applicable federal and state regulations in the performance of job duties.
- Ability to maintain regular attendance.
- Additional assignments required / directed by management.
Position Qualifications:
- High School Diploma / GED Required.
- College degree / certificate preferred.
- Current CNA Certificate or the ability and willingness to recertify a lapsed Certificate within three months of hire.
- Good communication and computer skills.
- Have and maintain a valid Driver's License for a minimum of 6 months with an acceptable driving record and reliable transportation.
