About the Role:
We’re looking for a Technical Support Specialist – Level I who enjoys solving problems, supporting colleagues, and learning new technology skills. In this role, you’ll maintain and support our hardware, software, and networks across multiple locations in Western Massachusetts. You’ll help staff get the most from their technology so they can focus on delivering exceptional care.
Key Responsibilities:
Systems & Hardware Support
- Maintain an inventory of agency hardware and software.
- Install or assist in the installation of hardware and software.
- Support and maintain all computer hardware, including troubleshooting and repairs.
- Troubleshoot and support agency networks.
Staff Support & Training
- Learn and support the software applications used in the agency.
- Provide technical assistance to staff in computer, Internet, and email use.
- Communicate professionally with clients, customers, co-workers, and supervisors.
Professional Growth & Teamwork
- Maintain and upgrade skills to provide optimal service to the agency’s IT infrastructure.
- Contribute to a positive work atmosphere and collaborate with the IT team.
- Perform other assignments as directed by the Director of Information Technology.
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience with PCs, peripherals, office applications, and Microsoft operating systems.
- Ability to build, repair, and upgrade personal computer workstations.
- Knowledge of various network protocols, environments, and hardware.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills for software and hardware issues.
- Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and work independently.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Physical ability to lift and carry computer equipment.
