General Responsibilities:
The Budget Analyst/Manager plays a critical role in supporting the Fiscal Department by overseeing the development, analysis, and management of budgets to ensure financial stability and alignment with programmatic and agency-wide goals. This position requires strong collaboration with internal teams and leadership to identify financial opportunities, ensure compliance, and continuously improve fiscal processes.

Core Duties:
  • Develop and present budgets to control agency funds in support of organizational objectives.
  • Compile and analyze historical and current fiscal data to forecast needs and justify requested funds.
  • Correlate revenue projections for specific cost centers with appropriations for divisional programs.
  • Prepare monthly and ad hoc budget reports to interpret budget directives and monitor performance.
  • Conduct monthly reviews of operating budgets, assessing appropriations, allocations, and expenditure trends.
  • Monitor and analyze financial data including revenue, expenses, and cash flow.
  • Work closely with Program Managers to identify and evaluate financial risks and opportunities.
  • Create grant proposal budgets for various funding sources.
  • Provide monthly updates and strategic budget recommendations to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
  • Ensure compliance with applicable financial laws, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Evaluate accounting software functionality and internal processes; identify and implement improvements.
  • Supervise, train, and support fiscal staff to maintain operational excellence and continuity.
  • Foster a positive team-oriented environment with integrity, professionalism, and commitment to the agency's mission.
  • Maintain a reliable attendance record and promote a positive work atmosphere through effective communication and collaboration with clients, staff, and supervisors.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the CFO or their designee.
Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in financial analysis, budgeting, or fiscal management.
  • Strong understanding of financial regulations, accounting principles, and compliance standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial management software.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; proven ability to work cross-functionally.
