Accounts Payable Clerk

Pay Range: $20-$23/hr (Based on experience and education)
Role Summary:
ServiceNet is a dynamic and compassionate nonprofit organization committed to delivering innovative mental health, developmental, and human services across Western Massachusetts. We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our Fiscal team in Northampton, MA. This role is essential in managing accounts payable functions, ensuring accurate financial processing, and supporting the organization’s overall financial health.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the Accounts Payable process
- Maintain and process file imports efficiently
- Process weekly AP check runs and ensure timely month-end close of the AP system
- Generate AP reports and interface AP with the General Ledger (GL)
- Review and reconcile monthly GL reports for accuracy
- Reconcile AP sub-ledger to GL accounts
- Prepare and distribute 1099s
- Serve as the primary contact for AP-related inquiries, invoice processing, and fund disbursement
- Process check requests promptly and accurately
- Collaborate with team members, demonstrating integrity and a commitment to the organization’s mission
- Foster a positive work environment through professional communication and teamwork
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in accounting or at least two years of relevant experience
- Proficiency in bookkeeping and budgeting procedures
- Prior office administration experience
- Strong computer skills, including fluency in various applications
- Advanced expertise in Excel
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
