Outpatient Clinic Medical Assistant
Full Time: Monday-Friday, 9a-5p
Pay: $19-$21/hr (See details below)
Position Summary:
We’re seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our busy outpatient community mental health clinic. This is an excellent opportunity to use your skills and positive attitude to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our diverse client population. You will play a vital role in supporting our nurses and medical providers while creating a welcoming and supportive environment for clients, including individuals with chronic mental illness, substance use disorders, developmental disabilities, or autism.
Position Responsibilities:
- Measure and record vital signs.
- Complete prior authorizations for medications.
- Handle clients’ telephone calls and messages promptly.
- Check prescription monitoring systems (e.g., MassPAT) for providers.
- Provide additional support for the Outpatient Division Medication Clinic as needed.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED, Associate degree preferred.
- Current Medical Assistant Certification a plus.
- Excellent computer skills; Accurate computer entries.
- Communication skills (verbal and written); bilingual in English / Spanish a plus.

Pay Details: $19-$21/hr
- $19/hr: No Medical Assistant Certification:
- $21/hr: Active Medical Assistant Certification:
- Base pay $19/hr + $2 differential for certification
