Developmental Brain Injury Services (DBIS)
West Springfield Area Office
Monday-Friday 9am-5pm
LPN: $30-35/hr
RN: $38-43/hr

Position Summary:
We are seeking RN’s or LPN's to work with our developmentally disabled and brain injured clients that reside within our residential programs. The Nursing Team advocates and institutes the appropriate nursing interventions, for all medical needs of assigned program participants focusing on optimal health for all individuals.

Position Responsibilities: 
  • Oversight of Residential Programs within Western MA. 
  • Quarterly audits. 
  • Oversight of significant client medical care / appointments / well-being. 
  • Monitor and coordinate healthcare services for participants. Institute appropriate follow up and communicate all medical issues to: Physicians, nurse practitioners, and other medical licensed providers, Area Director, Nursing RN Supervisor/ and or Health Care Director and any other appropriate DDS staff.
  • Document all nursing interventions and changes affecting the individual in appropriate areas – Daily log, progress notes, staff communication log, Nurses Notes, and any other identified system for communication purposes.
  • Maintain current medication and treatment orders according to MAP standards noting any side effects/adverse effects and report to appropriate people.
  • Assist in training staff in personal care, positioning, feeding, use of supportive devices.
  • Additional assignments required / directed by management. 
Qualifications: 
  • High School Diploma / GED required. 
  • College Degree preferred.
  • Valid MA Nursing License.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record. 
  • Physical ability to perform the requirements of the position.
  • Good communication and computer skills.
