Case Manager
Division: Shelter and Housing
Location: Pittsfield, MA
Schedule: Full-time
Compensation: $21.00/hour
Position Summary
ServiceNet is looking for a compassionate and forward-thinking Case Manager to join our team at Our Friends Shelter. In this role, you will help individuals and families experiencing homelessness build the foundation for long-term stability. Through direct support, advocacy, and collaboration, you will assist guests in accessing essential resources as they work toward permanent housing.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive intakes and assessments for all new shelter guests
- Support and advocate for individuals and families in shelter or transitional housing
- Help participants access and follow through with treatment, medical, vocational, housing, and community-based resources
- Hold weekly meetings with guests to review service/treatment plans, set goals, make referrals, and monitor progress
- Foster a positive and supportive residential environment in collaboration with participants and shelter staff
- Maintain clear, accurate case management and progress notes, as well as other assigned documentation
Qualifications
- Bilingual candidates (Haitian Creole / French / Spanish) are encouraged to apply
- High school diploma or equivalent required, with additional training equivalent to two years of college
- At least one year of experience working with individuals affected by poverty, mental health challenges, and/or addiction
- Familiarity with local social service agencies and available community resources
- Valid driver's license and an acceptable motor vehicle record
