Position Summary:
We’re growing our Peer Specialist teams in Hampshire and Franklin County to further engage those who’ve been referred to us for services. Whether you’ve lived with a mental health challenge, yourself, or with a family member who has; or whether you are in continuing substance use recovery, the experience you’ve gained along the way is one of your greatest strengths.

Position Responsibilities:
- Provide day to day recovery supports, professional guidance and modeling, strategies and interventions, as needed, to assist Adult Clinical Community Services (ACCS) persons and their families residing in a variety of settings to attain their individualized recovery goals and objectives.
- Participate as a member of an integrated team promoting mutual and peer support, a recovery-based model of care.
- Assist Participants in setting and pursuing personally meaningful wellness goals, quality of life goals, and effective coping strategies.
- Interact with participants and their families in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the struggles, conflicts or symptoms in the context of the individual’s life experiences personal history, social identity, and culture.
- Collaborating with the Program Director, Direct Care staff and Employment Specialists, provide ongoing support for participants’ emerging vocational development objectives and goals; utilize internal and external resources and networks to facilitate the most appropriate and successful referrals.
- Complete documentation and peer guided service notes, which record and measure individual recovery, care utilization, productivity, etc.

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- BA in related field preferred.
- Must be a Certified Peer Specialist, Certified Addiction Recovery Coach or meet the Family Partner specifications as required by Community Service Agencies.
- Applicant must be comfortable using elements of their personal recovery narrative to support ACCS Persons Served.
- Vehicle, valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record.
- CPR / First Aid certification.
- Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply.
